Welcome to Worship Therapy!
Worship has been an important part of my healing journey. On this weekly podcast, I’ll be sharing songs and artists who have impacted my life with their gifts.
This week we will discuss trusting God’s timing. When you are in a season of waiting, it can seem as nothing is happening but just because you don’t can see what’s happening does not mean God is not working it all out. Let’s choose to praise Him in the waiting and trust His timing.

WORSHIP
Our featured song is Yes I Will by Vertical Worship.
Lyrics:
Verse:
I count on one thing
The same God that never fails
Will not fail me now
You won’t fail me now
In the waiting
The same God who’s never late
Is working all things out
Is working all things out
Chorus:
Yes I will, lift You high in the lowest valley
Yes I will, bless Your name
Oh, yes I will, sing for joy when my heart is heavy
For all my days, oh yes I will
Repeat Verse
Repeat Chorus
And I choose to praise
To glorify, to glorify
The Name of all names
That nothing can stand against
And I choose to praise
To glorify, to glorify
The Name of all names
That nothing can stand against
And I choose to praise
To glorify, to glorify
The Name of all names
That nothing can stand against
And I choose to praise
To glorify, to glorify
The Name of all names
That nothing can stand against
Oh, yes I will, lift You high in the lowest valley
Yes I will, bless Your name
Oh, yes I will, sing for joy when my heart is heavy
For all my days, oh yes, I will
For all my days, oh yes, I will
For all my days, yes, I will
Repeat Chorus

WORD OF GOD
Read Genesis 18:9-15
This verse states:
For still the vision awaits its appointed time; it hastens to the end—it will not lie. If it seems slow, wait for it; it will surely come; it will not delay.~ Habakkuk 2:3 ESV
God will often give you a vision of what’s to come long before you see the tangible evidence of it. During that period of waiting, you have a choice to make. Will you stand in faith and say “Yes, I will believe” or will you stand in doubt and say “No, I don’t believe.” Today’s worship song provides a beautiful way we can proclaim our YES.
Today’s Therapy Session
- In Genesis 18, God share’s His vision of parenthood for Abraham and Sarah. Considering both were well past childbearing days, this vision appeared to be long past it’s appointed time. It looked like an impossibility, so much so that Sarah found herself laughing at how unlikely it seemed. Have you been laughing at a God’s vision for your life? Has your faith turned to cynical doubt? Take a moment to determine when you stopped believing and what disappointments have led you down this road. What vision has you so overwhelmed with unbelief, that it has paralyzed your ability to receive? Ask God to help your unbelief. Ask Him to restore your YES.
- Waiting has a way of making us feel as if time is being wasted. What if we viewed waiting as preparation? Not a nuisance but a necessary part of God’s perfect timing. What vision are you waiting to see fulfilled? In what ways can you use this time to prepare rather than pout? Choose to wait well. Choose to wait with worship in your heart.
