Welcome to Worship Therapy!

Worship has been an important part of my healing journey.  On this weekly podcast,  I’ll be sharing songs and artists who have impacted my life with their gifts.

This week we will discuss the renewing the confidence we have in God.  Take time to reflect on your spiritual journey to revisit how He has been faithful to you. Also, spend time in the word of God to learn of what He’s done for others. Both are greats way to build your confidence in Him.

WORSHIP

Our featured song is Do It Again by Elevation Worship.

Lyrics:

Walking around these walls
I thought by now they’d fall
But You have never failed me yet
Waiting for change to come
Knowing the battle’s won
For You have never failed me yet

Your promise still stands
Great is Your faithfulness, faithfulness
I’m still in Your hands
This is my confidence, You’ve never failed me yet

I know the night won’t last
Your Word will come to pass
My heart will sing Your praise again
Jesus You’re still enough
Keep me within Your love
My heart will sing Your praise again

Your promise still stands
Great is Your faithfulness, faithfulness
I’m still in Your hands
This is my confidence, You never failed

Your promise still stands
Great is Your faithfulness, faithfulness
I’m still in Your hands
This is my confidence, You never failed me yet

I’ve seen You move, You move the mountains
And I believe, I’ll see You do it again
You made a way, where there was no way
And I believe, I’ll see You do it again

[x3]
I’ll see You do it again

Your promise still stands
Great is Your faithfulness, faithfulness
I’m still in Your hands
This is my confidence, You never failed

Your promise still stands
Great is Your faithfulness, faithfulness
I’m still in Your hands
This is my confidence, You never failed me yet

And You never failed me yet
I never will forget
You never failed me yet
I never will forget

WORD OF GOD

Read Psalm 126:4-6

The verse for this week states:

And now, God, do it again— bring rains to our drought-stricken lives.  So those who planted their crops in despair will shout hurrahs at the harvest, So those who went off with heavy hearts will come home laughing, with armloads of blessing.

The same God who has brought you through before is ready and able to bring you through again.

Today’s Therapy Session

  1. Identify a time in your life when you felt like God came through on your behalf.  It could be something huge you saw as a miracle. Or it could be something that just made you feel loved and seen by Him. The magnitude of what happened is not as important as identifying and reflecting on what you believed about God at that moment. During those times, we see God as able and willing. We sense His loving presence and His desire to meet our needs. Take a few minutes to list as many of these times as possible and declare over your list “Great is Your faithfulness.”
  2. Now identify the most pressing difficulty you are currently facing. The same faithful God who was there for you in the past is still here with you in the present. Look at this current mountain and ask Him to “Do it again.”
